Meet AWESOME at Maritime Week 2026
The Research and Innovation Conference during Maritime Week 2026 brings together industry, academia and public sector stakeholders to discuss the future of maritime transport.
Representatives from the AWESOME project, including Kongsberg Maritime, Maritime CleanTech, Odfjell and SINTEF, will be present to share insights on wind-assisted propulsion systems (WAPS) and their role in reducing emissions and fuel consumption in shipping. The conference will explore how innovation, digital technologies and new energy solutions can help create a smarter, safer and more sustainable maritime industry.
AWESOME is a Horizon Europe project focused on accelerating the adoption of wind-assisted propulsion through full-scale demonstrations, validated performance data and practical decision-support tools for shipowners. The project aims to reduce investment risk and support the maritime industry’s transition towards low- and zero-emission shipping.
